The Rotary Club of Trenton had a truly impactful evening this past Friday, continuing its commitment to serving those in need throughout our community. In partnership with the Salvation Army Mobile Canteen, our dedicated volunteers helped provide a remarkable 388 meals across four locations.
Guests were offered a choice of hearty and satisfying options, including pasta with meat sauce, Italian hoagies, and bean & rice empanadas. Each meal was thoughtfully accompanied by a brownie or cookies and a bottle of water, ensuring not just nourishment, but a small touch of comfort.
A special thank you goes out to Rotarians John Murphy, Kathy McDowell, Virginia Valentine, and Charlie Parkerson, who generously gave their time and energy to serve on the canteen. Their efforts exemplify the spirit of “Service Above Self” that defines Rotary.
We’d also like to recognize Nickie Lazarick for baking delicious brownies, and extend our appreciation to the Florence High School Rotary Interact Club for providing cookies. Their contributions helped make the evening even more special for those we served.
This was truly a team effort, and a reminder of the meaningful impact we can make when we come together in service to others.
