Located in the heart of Africa, the DRC has a population estimated at 70 million people and occupies an area which is equal to the size to the USA East of the Mississippi River. Approximately 27 million, or a third of the population, is at risk of getting onchocerciasis, 7 million are actually infected and about 70,000 are blind from the disease. Learn More

The eradication of polio is one of Rotary’s longest standing and most significant efforts. Along with our partners, we have helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. We have reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide and we won’t stop until we end the disease for good. Learn More
